Adonis Safety Training was founded in 2021 during the Covid pandemic by Andonis Obretin, a Romanian native who grew up in Ireland, from the age of 17 after arriving in 2003.
With a diverse background, Andonis worked as a translator for leading Irish translation companies from the age of 19. He honed his skills in various settings, including courts, garda stations, hospitals, and immigration services.
He also built a successful career in retail management and security. However, a work accident left him disabled with chronic back problems.
Following a period of recovery, Andonis, determined to return to work, enrolled in training to become a certified online Manual Handling Instructor.
With the support of the Social Welfare Back To Work Scheme and established Dublin training centers, Andonis became a multi-accredited instructor. His passion for learning continues to this day.
In 2021, he transitioned off Invalidity Pension and launched Adonis Safety Training, a self-employed venture allowing him to work with various training centres in Dublin, building a reputation not only for his own expertise but also for Adonis Safety Training’s ability to partner with reputable organisations. This allows him to offer a diverse range of courses across Dublin.
